Cele programowe // Aim

Podstawowym celem seminarium jest próba uzyskania odpowiedzi na pytanie, w jaki sposób należy kształcić współczesnego urbanistę, jakie powinno być minimum programowe dla wszystkich kierunków ośrodków edukacyjnych w Polsce (designerów, planistów i managerów). Jaki „typ” urbanisty najlepiej odpowie na współczesne wymogi i zapotrzebowanie z zakresu: planowania, zagospodarowania i zarządzania przestrzenią polskiego miasta. Odpowiedzi na te pytania są szczególnie istotne w kontekście nowych uwarunkowań, jak: globalizacja, członkostwo Polski w UE, gospodarka rynkowa, samorządność, prawo własności i dominacja czynnika ekonomicznego.

The basic aim of the seminary is the attempt of answering the question what and how the modern urban planner and urban designer should be taught? What is to be considered the basic educational programme in all the universities and universities of technology? What profile of teaching urban planners and designers is the best to answer the contemporary needs in the aspect of planning and managing the polish city. Finding the answers to these questions is particularly important in the context of new conditions like: globalization, access of Poland to ue structure, domination of the economical factor.

Cele operacyjne // Main operation aims

1. Wyróżnienie istniejących w Polsce kierunków studiów kształcących urbanistów, co dotyczy ośrodków uniwersyteckich i uniwersytetów technicznych politechnik.
2. Zidentyfikowanie kierunków studiów kształcących urbanistów w Niemczech (uniwersytet Dortmund) i na Słowacji (FA STU Bratislava).
3. Określenie współczesnych potrzeb i redefinicja charakteru i roli urbanisty na miarę współczesnych wyzwań.
4. Prezentacja minimów programowych na wybranych kierunkach w Polsce i zagranicą.
5. Określenie podstaw współczesnej urbanistyki, w tym podstaw polityki rozwoju przestrzennego i społeczno- gospodarczego oraz stosowanych instrumentów (prawnych, przestrzennych i ekonomicznych) do realizacji założonych celów rozwojowych.
6. Wypracowanie modelowej zintegrowanej metodyki kształcenia współczesnego urbanisty.

1. The differentiation of the existing methods of teaching urban planners and designers within polish universities and universities of technology,
2. The identification of the programmes of teaching urban planners and designers in germany and slovakia,
3. The definition of the contemporary urban and planning needs in polish cities and the role of the modern urban planner and urban designer,
4. The presentation of the educational programmes, concerning urbanism, executed on the chosen polish and foreign universities,
5. The definition of the modern basis of urbanism, politics of spatial and social development and the contemporary economical and legal instruments used to creation and revitalization of the city structure,
6. The conclusions: what elements should the integrated methodology of educational programme of teaching urbanism consist in?

Forma seminarium // Presentations

W trakcie seminarium zostaną przedstawione prezentacje zaproszonych przedstawicieli głównych ośrodków kształcenia urbanistów w Polsce (wystąpienia). W oparciu o dostarczony przez organizatorów schemat zawierający zapis działań wstępnych i docelowych zostanie podjęta próba wypracowania metody modelowej kształcenia urbanistów (ankieta).

The presentations of the invited scientific centres during the seminary - exposes and questionnaires. The attempt of working out the model method of teaching polish urban planners and designers accordng to the contemporary conditions.

THE RESULTS OF THE STUDENTS’ WORK AND THE SEMINARY DISCUSSION WILL BE GATHERED TOGETHER AND ISSUED WITHIN THE BOOK.
